Bad Boys, Bad Boys...--8:50 PM 7/20/2003 |
Yes! Its a good movie. I thouroughly enjoyed the film, and I'm sure any critisisms for the film from film critics came from critics who failed to see how bad the first movie was. This sequel is definitely better than the first. Unlike Terminator3, Bad Boys II in my opinion is worthy of the $7.50 I paid to view it in a movie theater.   Also, I would like to announce that I have made my own Aim Theme thingy skin for Aim. Its titled MagnaCarta and you can get it here. I use it myself, so I may change things around without notice. Also take note, I don't like to keep old backups, so if you like one or something, notify me and I'll send you a copy. And I will eventually find a way to put the links on the sidebar of the Aim theme in some flashy format... maybe get some flash animation or something going... hmm flash.   Update on the comic you say? Well I've hit a snag. As in my comic seems so vaguely similar to Naruto (japanese manga) that I'm hesitant with the storyline. I'll figure something out. |
There are cats and kittens outside my apartment--10:12 PM 6/5/2003 |
Thats a true statement. They are strays and everyone seems to want to feed them and play with the kittens. There is a big black one and a big gray one, 2 small black ones and a small gray one. The gray one is old but seems kinda wild. Like a panda at the zoo thats been sitting staring at the window for too long and suddenly breaks out of its cage and rampages through a city. I don't pay them any attention. Someone should call the proper authorities to make sure they can get a decent chance in life, but that won't be me. I doubt anyone else will. We'll probably find them dead at my doorstep from the summer heat.   Yeah, I won't update at all until the weekend after my finals. Why? No, its not because I am studying. It's because I am too lazy, and my scanner is not working properly, and I haven't been drawing anything new for a while. I promise I will get better soon though (not about updating frequently, but about drawing more pleasing artwork). Any images I have done for the past few months has been rather inappropriate even for an internet audience. It would probably force me to loose my Keenspace account. So no one will be seeing them. Well, I'm off to procrastinate on my finals! It's dot com! |
Old Hat? New Dog.--1:49 AM 5/25/2003 |
This may be old... by why does Utada Hikaru in her music video for the song Hikari stand infront of a sink doing dishes? And why does that kitchen she stands in seem so... I dunno... not glamourous like something a money making star should have. And why would she be doing dishes? Doesn't she have a maid? If not, can't she afford one? And if she can, can I get that job?   Marine World time! Woosh! |
Scanning issues and old news recap--7:22 AM 5/5/2003 |
Yep. After about 3 hours of working at it, I finally got my scanner to work again. I had to clean reinstall the drivers twice and clean reinstall Photoshop Photo Deluxe once and Photoshop 7 once. Talk about time killers.   In case no one ever looked, the little tutorial videos of how Ian McConville makes MacHall webcomics are very interesting to say the least. I didn't know he had such superb mouse control and worked in an accelerated time environment. Thats kinda trippy, like those weird twins from the Matrix. Well I'm off to fix mispellings and gramatical errors on the webpages. |
Shortcomings and whatnot--3:38 AM 5/5/2003 |
As I sit here typing away infront of the computer, I have japanese presentation to memorize and a midterm to study for, but none of is concerning me right now. After taking a look at the dozens of videos and music videos of Yuna from FFX-2 dancing about on stage like Britney Spears singing in a voice that sounds nothing close to her speaking voice I am reminded that once again, the people who work at Squaresoft are all like me. They are all deprived males wanting a perfect girl and end up spending way to much time on little things that flaunt CG created damsel's movements and looks more than they really should. Then again, I really can't complain about the end results of their endevours.   Yet again I have Squaresoft to thank to giving me a drive to create some new visually impressive artwork that I will never bother scanning to put onto this website for fear that either 1) I feel it isn't worth showing to the public, or 2) Squaresoft will sue the living pants off me (they are living pants by the way, they are kinda sentient too). Therefore, I feel there is no better way than to thank Squaresoft than with a whole week of no Updates! Yay! Like anyone really bothers to pay attention to this website. Oh well c'est la vie.   All kidding aside I will have something within the week. Especially since I tracked down that bug where my news and other pages wouldn't load into previous pages. |
.hack//Twilight's Bracelet = disappointingly short--7:39 AM 4/14/2003 |
I guess I should be thankful that they even made the dang thing right? But damnit with 12 episodes I felt kinda let down toward the end. Wolf's Rain also looks like it's loosing promise. It's still great and everything, but I might have hyped myself up way too much. The art that was so new looking in Cowboy Bebop is used in this series. Not a bad strategy if I do say so. People seem to like it. How effective it is though, I'm not quite sure. I guess it's more story problems than anything else. I feel detached from the characters more than I was with the characters from Cowboy Bebop. Sure, they have the exact same emotions/mannerisms/complexes, but they are missing stupidity, dumb facial expresions, and flashes of Faye's ass. When it comes down to it, thats what sells! All joking aside, people don't watch anime to see people who are better than they are, just people who are different enough, yet covered in more flaws than a concord jet's wing! A ha! Didn't expect that old reference did we?   Also, starting today I'm beginning a somewhat long project so I won't be updating the comic or anything related to it. Bummer. I'll post the end result of the project when I'm done. |
What Huh? My webpage is back.--1:12 PM 4/13/2003 |
Keenspace did take a while to get their servers fixed. I think I might be one of the last few to get their webpages back up and running. But hey, who am I to complain, I got my free website back up in the end. So its all good. I have alot of stuff to upload, and alot of comic pages, and I also have a lot of time on my hands since I'm only taking 3 classes this quarter at school. I guess I need to get crackin' on drawing some more too. I kinda had that on indefinite hold since I couldn't access the website. I'll have more later when I have prepared a rant.

.hack//sign Legend of Twilight's Bracelet = Good--1:57 AM 1/23/2003 |
It sure is. Really. I have always prefered the artwork in manga myself though. The artwork in this series is probably as close as you're bound to get to true manga artwork form at present. More anime coming to my attention includes one titled Wolf's Rain. I haven't quite watched the videos yet though. From what I've heard so far its obviously trying to build up to a good story. Thats normally the mark of a good anime. Although I've seen anime that ended up causing a lot of suffering (ie: Noir). There is promise in this one however, what with music by Yoko Kanno.   Some Utada Hikaru songs got stuck in my head after seeing a friend play through and beat Kingdom Hearts just recently. Utada Hikaru is one of the few japanese recording artists I would respect cause she has talent. Oh there are others. But none of them made theme songs for a Squaresoft game recently.   OMFG, I'm such a dork, I can't wait for Halo PC! Final Fantasy XI is also lurking out in the outskirts, jumping for the chance at a PC. Everquest gameplay with a Final Fantasy style backstory as its only saving grace? I'll be the first in line to buy that! |
