I decided almost on a whim...--6:58 PM 1/21/2003
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Thats the only way to describe this dumbluck. With all the problems keenspace was having within the last oh, 2 months, I was beginning to worry. Well, I'm back now. This news post is merely a way to acknowledge that I know this webpage is back up. During all this down time, you think I would catch up with a story and art and such. Well, kind of. As I look through the images I've done (about 20 pages in fact) I realize, some of it is worthy of public viewing, and a distractingly large amount is not. And I would update with the next page, except that the next page happens to be one of those such pages. I'm thinking of finally adding a link for e-mail to me, and also a link to a gallery of just random things I draw either late at night, when it suits me, or during a boring class. Don't expect so many changes, as right now I've taken up a fad with Counter-Strike and 3dStudio Max. I should also fix the way that floating image looks beneath all this. One day I'll get it down solid, and when I do, this baby will be slicker than a greased scotsman.

Sealab 2021 is hillarious, but then you knew that--7:16 PM 11/25/2002
I wonder how those crazy writers come up with such weird material all the time. They have to be hopped up on "Stimutacs" or something.

I also like that Inuyasha is being shown on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Its good, though I prefer it unsubbed. Surprisingly, the series in japan is way past 85 episodes by now, but its not something I have lost interest in. Its not like Rurouni Kenshin where it becomes somewhat uninteresting after the battles with Shishio Makoto. Everything develops well, and you kind of get attached to the characters after a while.

Magna Whatsit?--1:49 AM 11/23/2002
I update yet again. Take that non-believers! I cannot be defeated so easily! I laugh in the face of Alcohol drenched teenagers and angry police officers! I spit into the wind with full knowledge that it will fly back into my face!

I'm still messing around with things. New things pop up here and there. I also wonder how much space this website is allowed to take up. Not that I've even about to hit it or anything. Babble babble, babble. Thats all I ever seem to do.

On to news that you might use. While some may wonder where all this MagnaCarta and War of Genesis Part II artwork came from, its been old news for some of us, "Image Ninjas". I borrow that term from Mazer, who seems to come up with alot of weird ideas. His reason for the terminology? I guess its because Ninjas are cool, and when you're an "Image Ninja", you're a guy who searches the internet for images to archive on to your own medium AND you're a ninja assasin. Get it?

The artwork itself from both War of Genesis and Magna Carta are put simply in one word. ASTOUNDING. The character designs are only something those crazy artists chained to their desks and locked in their rooms could have dreamed up of.

The artwork from both also make for very cool desktop backgrounds. I currently use one designed by coins who posts some of is work at Deskmod.com which includes much of the artwork from War of Genesis and MagnaCarta. In my opinion, his work entitled "incomplete" morechoc is probably one of the best looking desktop wallpapers done by him.

Shinobi with the super cyborgish armor and the red scarf... hmm, is every single japanese superhero turning into inhuman warriors? What will we do when all our japanese stealth assasin superheros all turn to lasergun toting Solid Snake stealth suit wearing badasses. I shudder to think of the day.

Digital Medium Blues--9:15 PM 11/13/2002
Hey, here's that image of one of the characters.

"What the Hell happened" you say? Send complaints here. So I don't have a scanner. You wonder how I'm able to transfer drawings to a digital medium? Easy. I use a digital camera and proper lighting. But even that has it limits. I'm beginning to work on the artwork for the actual comic. I've decided to try to vary my style in the during different points in the comic. Not that its for the story, or that a switch is meant to emphasize something. Its just I need practice with different looking styles. Can't have everything looking like Full Metal Panic now can we?

Duolabilicious--5:47 PM 11/12/2002
Once again, I goof off. Like anyone cares. Mazer if you didn't know, is one of the two people who run duolab.net. Check it out. Site scheme is way better than anything I could put out, and their eye candy for the most part is far above me. But then again, I'm not about the eye candy. I'm about the meaningless jargon and sarcasm. Here's some drawing I did of YoYo from Jet Set Radio Future. The things I do in class when I'm bored. The odd discoloration is cause of a lighting problem I had when I transfered the image from hard copy to digital. I also have a drawing of one of the characters for the actual comic laying around somewhere on the clutter that is my desk, but I can't seem to find it right now. Do you know what time it is?

Update!: I took down the images, so those links don't work. I'll make em work... someday.

Costcomania 2002!--7:26 PM 11/02/2002
Yes. I am sick. I knew the moment I got up this morning that I was sick. There is just no use denying it anymore. Endless hours of pain and mixed enjoyment from playing Madden 2002 for Xbox which we picked up at COSTCO for 20 bucks, and Vice City have all created this unfeeling, unthinking automaton that sits and types infront of a white screen, unsure whether or not his html code is correct or even if he should bother with it. Once again I have procrastated and decided not to scan any images for the comic (mainly because I have no decent scanner yet) because I want everything to look good from the get go. I explained the storyline of the comic to a few of my friends, who all said it was complicated, sounded interesting and all asked the same question, "Can you pull it off in a comic without confusing readers?" My reply to this was a sound yes. Until that day comes when a comic with any relevance to the title comes about, here is some more unrelated art I drew myself and tweaked with the advent of photoshop. I don't like it all that much, but when I looked at what images I have readily available for internet posting, I see only this one. The rest are all too large (2080x3000 large) and I don't want to spend the 5 minutes changing the image size in photoshop. By the way, this guy is not myself, but one of the many hapless souls stuck in the web of VICE CITY. Help my roommate (That is not me I swear) break this odd attachment and stop the unnatural fusion between man and console game.

HEY! ITS CHAT CONVERSATIONS WITH MAZER!

I didn't know there was a restaurant named Dick Clarks--7:42 PM 10/14/2002
Well this is the second update to the webpage. I finally convinced myself that I needed to atleast try some html work today. Everything you see here is the result. Not much eye candy yet. Actually, I have no plans for eye candy right now. I'm still infact trying to figure out some of these stupid problems I'm having uploading files to the Keenspot Servers. Ah, C'est la Vie. At the suggestion of one of my friends, I decided to finish table tags that were unfinished on the pages. This led to no end of trouble as everything I had spent so much time in the beginning to align and set into exacting pixel measured increments were thrown out of place. I had to spend the better part of an hour realizing that the table tag orders were aligned so that any html document viewer would see 7 or 8 columns of 2 px width each across the page before centering whatever it was I wanted centered in the block of the table for the first place. If you are confused by that last sentence, you aren't the only one. See where lazyness gets you? Take some advice from me. Don't be lazy, procrastinate, then try to do a half assed job and expect to recieve some credit. Oh sure, you can be lazy and procrastinate. Don't let me try to stop you from doing those things. But when you do, use your whole ass for the job.

In the coming week(s?) look for things like:
  • New color scheme (perhaps)
  • Might try to open up an image archive of random sketches
  • Might try to write up an explanation of what exactly the comic is about
  • Hey! How about a real comic rather than a filler image!
